• Khao Yai National Park is a famous national park of Thailand. It is largely located on the land of Nakhon Ratchasima Province and some small parts on 3 other provinces. Khao Yai means "big mountain" in the local language and it is about 3 hours drive from Bangkok. The park was established on September 18, 1962, as the first national park of Thailand. This is the third largest park in Thailand with an area of approx. 300 square km, including forest and mountain areas. The average height in the park ranges from 400 to 1,000 m above sea level, and the highest peak is Khao Rom (1351m). In 1984, the park was recognized as the ASEAN Heritage Garden and in 2005 Khao Yai National Park has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site under the name of "Dong Phaya Yen-Khao Yai Forest Complex" along with Dong Phaya Yen mountain range. The park is located in the warm year-round region. Tourist can visit any time of the year but the most suitable is winter (from November to February).

    Khao Yai national park is famous for its diversity of flora and fauna. It is the home to more than 3,000 species of plants. Rainforest covers the entire area besides other vegetation types such as tropical rainforest or dry evergreen forest. Tourists can find some gorgeous waterfalls in the park but the most famous one is the Haew Narok waterfall (with the height of 80m). Not only that, Khao Yai is a perfect place for bird watching with more than 320 species of birds. Some interesting species that you can see here are collared owlets, broadbills or barbets. Khao Yai National Park is also the habitat for more than 67 species of mammals such as sambar deer, black bear or hog badger and some more popular species like elephant or deer.

    PB Valley Khao Yai Winery: This is a huge endless green grape field inside the park. If you coming here on the harvesting time, you will have a chance to admire millions of ripe grapes, which will be used to make the delicious wine. You can also enjoy these wine and buy some kinds of stuff made from grapes. Besides grapes, there are some seasonal flower gardens and fruit for you to choose. A dining with the gorgeous view of the vineyard is the undeniable chance when going here.

    Panorama Farm or Mushroom Farm: In these farms, many kinds of mushroom are grown like wood ear mushroom or lingzhi mushroom. Visitors will participate in the process of packing sawdust to plant mushroom, or picking up the fresh one. You can buy these healthy mushroom like a gift for family and friends. Panorama Farm also built mushroom-shaped houses as homestays for visitors.

    Fram Chokchai: This is a dairy farm with hundreds of cow. It has a showroom, where tourists will watch the process of making ice-cream or yogurt. Visiting the farm, besides participating in milking cow, visitors will have the opportunity to make their own cool ice-cream in favorite flavors or just enjoy them right in the store. The farm also grows rice and fresh vegetables.
